Another aspect to be taken into account with simultaneous interpreting and consecutive interpreting services is that the range of topics involved is as extensive as the diversity of verbal human interaction itself. One day it may well be a meeting between the Mexican health authorities and representatives from a French pharmaceuticals company to approve a new drug, another day it could be a consultation on Zoom with the Indonesian captain of a freight vessel sailing through the Pacific, and on yet another day it’s the presentation in Mexico City of the 2021 Formula One Grand Prix (these examples are all actual jobs that we have recently performed at Babel).
